Cherie Priest

Cherie Priest is an American science fiction and fantasy writer, born in Tampa, Florida in 1975. Her debut novel, the Southern Gothic fantasy Four and Twenty Blackbirds, was initially published in 2003 by a small press and then republished in 2005 by Tor. Several more novels followed, including two sequels to Four and Twenty Blackbirds. But her breakout into large-scale genre popularity was her bestselling steampunk novel Boneshaker (2009), which won the Locus Award for Best Science Fiction Novel and was a finalist for the 2010 Hugo Award. She has since published several more novels set in Boneshaker's extravagant nineteenth-century continuity, which she has dubbed the “Clockwork Century.” Photo © Libby Bulloff Cherie Priest is an American science fiction and fantasy writer, born in Tampa, Florida in 1975.
