From Kevin J. Anderson's October 31 entry: Well, mainly because we get a lot of mail and a lot of questions, and this seemed the best way to keep you all in the loop. The fans have kept DUNE alive and popular for forty years now, since the first book publication of Frank Herbert's original novel. And the fans have also welcomed our continuation of the Saga, picking up storylines Frank Herbert never had time to write; our new DUNE prequels have won numerous fan-favorite awards, been selected for prestigious 'best of the year' lists, and at least half of our prequels became the best-selling science fiction novels of the year, respectively. So, the least I can do is pass along some updates and exclusive background information. I will post here as often as I can -- and as often as I have something to report.
