Though the “Droughtlander” will last another five months, Starz has appeased fans of Outlander with the first trailer for season 3 of the time-travel romance. Based on Voyager, the third book in Diana Gabaldon’s Outlander series, the new season sees Jamie and Claire separated by distance and time, with battle bearing down on him in the past and major life changes ahead for her in the present.
We don’t want to give too much away, though of course diehard fans of the books will know exactly all the highs and lows to anticipate in the saga of Jamie and Claire’s love. Suffice to say, the new season will span years (and years and years), but Jamie and Claire have to find their way back to each other:
