It wouldn’t feel like The Rocky Horror Picture Show without Tim Curry, so kudos to Fox for bringing him on for their two-hour TV movie remake of the 1975 cult classic. But with Laverne Cox cast as Dr. Frank-N-Furter, Curry is trading in his fishnets for a more buttoned-up look as… The Criminologist! If we can’t have Curry singing, we’ll sure as hell have him narrating the whole shebang. And, of course, leading us to take just a jump to the left, and so forth…

Fox announced the news today, as part of its TCA (Television Critics Association) Winter Press Tour. Entertainment Weekly clarifies that the role is Criminologist Narrator, meaning that Curry will be off-screen. While that’s a tad disappointing, it makes sense considering that Curry is still recovering from a stroke he suffered in 2012. At any rate, it’s great news that he’ll be part of the new RHPS. “I am very happy and excited to be a part of this new event,” he said in a statement. So are we! We’re Time Warping just thinking about it.
