The teaser for Marvel’s Agent Carter season 2 is very short, but just like the show, it packs a lot into a short amount of time. From these thirty seconds, we know that Peggy’s going to HOLLYWOOD to track down baddies, who seem to be swarming around the set of a certain film…
This blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment gives us the name of the film in question: The Woman with the Golden Face. That’s undoubtedly a nod to Madame Masque, the main villain for season 2—a.k.a. Whitney Frost, a Hollywood actress and brilliant inventor. (Could she be modeled after recent Google Doodle honoree Hedy Lamarr?)
The teaser also shows Peggy beating up the bad guys with shotguns, fists, and her own ingenuity; plus possibly getting a new interest in the form of quirky and charismatic scientist Jason Wilkes. But no Dottie! Where’s Dottie?
Agent Carter premieres Tuesday, January 5, 2016, at 9 p.m. EST.
