Tor’s New Logo is Immortalized (Temporarily) in Sand Sculpture Form!

Bill Lewis of Santa Cruz Sand makes impressive—and sometimes skin-crawling—sand sculptures of everything from snowmen to elaborate family crests to the slarn from his pal Brian Staveley’s novel The Emperor’s Blades. He recently honored Tor Books’ new logo with an awesome sand sculpture showing off the new design!

The sculpture, which took three hours to make, shows off the update of the classic mountain peaks that have graced the covers of many a Tor Book over the past 35 years. Here’s the sculpture (plus the lovely California sunset) from more angles:
