Strange Horizons needs your help to keep publishing speculative fiction, poetry, and commentary through 2016! Since the magazine’s launch in 2000, this non-profit organization has relied on donations to keep publishing new and established authors’ work, and to pay writers at a professional rate.

This year, Strange Horizons is looking to raise $18,000; they’ve currently surpassed $12,000, with a little over 7 days left for donations.

As is the case every year, your donation (doesn’t matter if it’s $1 or $1,000) will enter you into the annual prize draw. You’ll have the chance to win bundles from Rosarium Publishing (including the anthology Stories for Chip) and Genevieve Valentine, signed copies of Marie Brennan’s Memoirs of Lady Trent series and the limited hardcover edition of Ancillary Justice, a Booksmugglers’ Box, a copy of Letters to Tiptree, and so much more. What’s more, every donation goal will release another story or review from the annual bonus issue.

In honor of Strange Horizons‘ fifteenth anniversary, there’s a new perk: For the first time, you can sign up on Patreon (by donating $0.75/issue or higher) to receive monthly ebooks of Strange Horizons. And anyone who donates $10 or more (by any avenue, including Patreon) will receive an ebook copy of Strange Horizons: The First 15 Years, including some of the magazine’s favorite stories by Elizabeth Bear, Ken Liu, Carmen Maria Machado, Vandana Singh, and others.

The Strange Horizons fund drive ends October 20th!
