To celebrate the 2015 releases from our Northeastern authors, Tor Books is excited to send Elizabeth Bear (Karen Memory), James L. Cambias (Corsair), Max Gladstone (Last First Snow), and Brian Staveley (The Providence of Fire) on tour in the New England region!

See below for more details, including a full list of scheduled tour stops.

Tor Big Summer Road Trip Book TourThe second book in the Chronicle of the Unhewn Throne, Brian Staveley’s The Providence of Fire (January 13) focuses on the three heirs to the Annurian Empire as they embark on different routes to the same goal. Adare, having discovered who killed their father, rallies the people, who believe she has been touched by a goddess; Valyn has allied with invading nomads; and Kaden, the rightful heir, has already infiltrated the capital. (Read an excerpt.)

Elizabeth Bear combines steampunk alternate history, the old West, and a Jack-the-Ripper tale in Karen Memory (February 3). Orphan Karen Memery is making a living at Madame Damnable’s bordello in 19th-century Seattle (before it went underground), when a young woman begs sanctuary at the bordello. Her arrival, and the man chasing her holding her indenture and a mind-control machine, changes everything. (Read an excerpt.)

In the 2030s future of James L. Cambias’ Corsair (May 5), two genius computer hackers and former lovers face off in an international space piracy incident. Elizabeth works for the government and is in charge of shipments mined from space, while David works for international thieves who want to claim the shipment in open waters. The two grapple in a fight for dominance over computer systems, and over who is the better hacker.

Last First Snow (July 14), the fourth installment of Max Gladstone’s Craft Sequence, is a fantastical legal thriller and the first chronological book in the series. Forty years after the God’s Wars, the district of Skittersill is still bound by decaying wards set by fallen gods. The Red King hires lawyer Elayne Kevarian to repair the wards, but he encounters opposition from the people of Skittersill, led by Temoc, a warrior-priest turned community organizer.
