It’s Looking More Likely That Benedict Cumberbatch Will Be Doctor Strange

Could we finally have our Doctor Strange? Deadline reports that Benedict Cumberbatch is Marvel’s choice for the role, and that negotiations are about to begin.

Since the last time that we thought Cumberbatch might be announcing his involvement—when he oh-so-slyly shot down those rumors during San Diego Comic-Con—we’ve heard Joaquin Phoenix, Ewan MacGregor, and many others bandied about as contenders. But seeing as Cumberbatch’s answer at the time was a non-answer, and considering this new rumor, we might finally get an official announcement from Marvel soon.
