So this is a thing we should probably all get on right now.
J.J. Abrams has released a video with two pretty special announcements: That Disney is helping to launch Star Wars: Force For Change to benefit children and families around the world, and that you could be a part of it—by winning a role in the new movie.
In the video below Abrams explains the Star Wars: Force For Change initiative (working in conjuction with UNICEF innovation labs and programs), and that a contest is now open for you to win a role in the new film by giving a small donation. The winner and a friend will get to travel to London, go through hair and makeup (presumably they will become aliens?), and be immortalized in Star Wars: Episode VII.
We can’t really see the downside to this. We’re also digging what we presume is a Tatooine set and that awesome alien who’s giving J.J. an unimpressed once over.
