It’s Hobbit Week over on The Colbert Report and while Stephen Colbert interviewing Ian McKellan, Peter Jackson, and more is all very, very awesome, what really tickled us was this map of New York City made up to look like Middle-earth.

Ahh the nights we’ve found ourselves in Little Rivendell or the Muttonpacking District or, more commonly, Hipsters’ Deep. We have to say, the NYC area really lends itself to Tolkien-esque names. What might we call the Flatiron Building, for instance…?


Stubby the Rocket is the mascot of Tor.com. You’d call it Talananga, duh.
