This past Sunday, Felix Baumgartner successfully completed the highest sky dive in human history, plummeting down from the edge of space, over 24 miles, towards Roswell, New Mexico. He reached a top speed of 833.9 miles per hour, effectively breaking the sound barrier with his body.

You can watch video from his headcam here of the first minute and a half of his jump, although we advise folks with trembly stomachs to forego this, as Baumgartner immediately begins to spin (which would have killed him if he hadn’t stabilized) and the view gets whoaaaa. Although watching the planet spin below you does have its appeal!
