Hot off his Oscar win, Shaun Tan has just been awarded the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award, the highest financial award in children’s literature. The judging panel stated, “His pictorial worlds constitute a separate universe where nothing is self-evident and anything is possible.” Check out what they mean in our Shaun Tan gallery.
