Twitter Reacts to Star Wars in 3-D

We assume you’ve heard the news that Lucasfilms is re-releasing all six Star Wars films in 3D beginning in 2012. Whether you squee or groan over the decision, the move has already produced some solid entertainment in the form of the #StarWars3D hashtag on Twitter.

The internet had some fun turning Star Wars’s most quotable lines into three dimensional versions of themselves like:

DanSlott
“May the forced perspective be with you.”

gibson970
“A long time ago, in a galaxy RIGHT IN YOUR FACE.”

pdunwin
“Sand people always ride three abreast to hide their numbers.”

ideologue
“I find your lack of depth … disturbing.”

egrissom
“Luke, you’ve turned off your targeting computer! Oh, it’s giving you a headache. I understand.”

paulandstorm
“It’s a trapezoidal prism!”

Stepto
“But with the 3d glasses on, i can’t even see, how am i supposed to fight?”

LuluBold
Maybe in #StarWars3D Luke’s hand will fly into the audience….

flashdandy
“Aren’t you a little short _ and surprisingly deep _ for a stormtrooper?”

michaelasmith
“Use the angular momentum, Luke”

GreenLantern4
“2d or not. There is no tri.”

kamikazesnowmen
“Look at the height, width, and depth of that thing!”

BadAstronomer
“Cut the chatter, Red/Green 2!”

John_W_Nichols
“We’ll be safe enough once we make the jump to Escher-space.”

bpanulla
“It is true, from a certain point of view. Well, once you take into account parallax.”

bpanulla
“Okay, so now I actually *am* a committee.”

@DragonConTV
“Tauntauntaun”

@paulandstorm
“I’ve got a mediocre feeling about this.”
