Reactor

Good news, everyone! It’s been a long, bumpy ride for Futurama—after being bounced around and eventually cancelled by Fox, airing sporadically on the Cartoon Network and Comedy Central, and revived in a series of straight-to-DVD movies, the show is finally about to come roaring back to geeky, glorious life in exactly one week. Around the Tor.com offices, we could not possibly be more excited about this—where else on television can you find a steady diet of alien/robot/evil scientist/math/physics/pop culture jokes, along with a heaping helping of Hypnotoad?

We’re counting down to the big Comedy Central premiere (Thursday, June 24th at 10 PM EST) by obsessively watching (and quoting) our favorite clips, along with the mega-recap of the first five seasons below. Please enjoy the smarmy charms of Captain Zapp Brannigan as he guides you through all the misty, water-colored memories of the 31st century, then check out the first ninety seconds of the new series)…and as always, please remember: WINDMILLS DO NOT WORK THAT WAY!

Bridget McGovern is the Managing Editor of Reactor. She wasn’t really all that screwed up by Watership Down, if you don’t count the fact that she just stays up nights writing frantically about bunnies (and will always maintain a vague but potent distrust of Art Garfunkle).
